THE MORNING CRY GLOBAL FAMILY. INTERCESSION HOUR. DAY 467. MONDAY 2ND NOVEMBER, 2K26. 7PM WAT. 90 MINUTES. ANCHORS: MOMMY ESTHER OKOJI SISTER CHINAZA CHILEKE BROTHER PROSPER MOSES-ALUKA Prayer focus: It is a prayer for divine vindication, restoration of dignity, supernatural lifting, and the grace to rise above rejection, abandonment, and human disqualification. It also emphasises that rejection by people does not cancel God’s purpose for a person’s life. 🌅 THE MORNING CRY GLOBAL FAMILY PRAYER MANUAL TOPIC: THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED HAS BECOME THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME A Prayer for Divine Vindication, Restoration, Supernatural Lifting, and the Fulfilment of Destiny INTRODUCTION One of the most powerful revelations in Scripture is found in Psalm 118:22: “The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.” This scripture reveals a profound spiritual principle: human rejection does not have the authority to cancel divine purpose. A cornerstone is not an ordinary stone. In construction, it is a foundational stone that determines the alignment and stability of the building. Its position is significant because the rest of the structure is aligned in relation to it. The Bible uses this imagery to reveal Jesus Christ as the Stone rejected by men but chosen and exalted by God. Though He was rejected, crucified, and treated as unworthy by those who failed to recognise His identity, God raised Him from the dead and established Him as the foundation of salvation. Jesus Himself applied this scripture to His rejection and vindication (Matthew 21:42). The apostles also identified Him as the Cornerstone upon whom God’s spiritual house is built. This revelation carries an important encouragement for us. There are seasons when people may reject you, overlook your contribution, underestimate your abilities, question your calling, or refuse to recognise the grace of God upon your life. Sometimes, those you expected to support you become the very people who discourage you. You may have been denied opportunities, excluded from important decisions, abandoned by people you trusted, or treated as though your presence and contribution do not matter. But rejection is not the end of your story. Joseph was rejected by his brothers, yet God raised him to become a preserver of nations. David was overlooked when Samuel came to anoint a king, yet God brought him from the field to the throne. Jephthah was driven away by his family, but later became a deliverer of Israel. Their stories remind us that human judgement is not the final authority over a life surrendered to God. However, our prayer is not merely to become celebrated by people who once rejected us. Our greatest desire must be to fulfil God’s purpose, maintain our character, and remain faithful to Him. We are praying that rejection will not destroy our confidence, bitterness will not corrupt our hearts, and disappointment will not make us abandon our divine assignment. The rejected stone became the Chief Cornerstone. In Christ, we have a sure foundation, a new identity, and a hope that cannot be destroyed by human rejection.

Prayer points

  1. MOMMY ESTHER OKOJI: FATHER, LET EVERY REJECTION IN MY LIFE BECOME A TESTIMONY OF YOUR GRACE Scripture: Psalm 118:22–23 “The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. This is the LORD’S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.” Father, in the name of Jesus, I commit every experience of rejection, disappointment, and abandonment into Your hands. Let no rejection destroy my confidence or disconnect me from Your purpose. Where people have overlooked me, help me to remain faithful. Where opportunities have been denied, lead me towards the doors You have prepared for me. Turn every painful experience into an opportunity for growth, maturity, and testimony. Let my life reveal Your faithfulness, in Jesus’ mighty name.
  2. MOMMY ESTHER OKOJI: O LORD, REMEMBER ME AND LIFT ME FROM EVERY PLACE OF OBSCURITY Scripture: 1 Samuel 16:11–12 “And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither. And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.” Father, remember me in every place where I have been forgotten, overlooked, or underestimated. Let the gifts and grace You have deposited in me find expression. As You called David from the field, let Your purpose for my life receive expression at the appointed time. Deliver me from unnecessary obscurity and grant me opportunities to serve, contribute, and fulfil my assignment. Let my life not be limited by the opinions or assessments of men, in Jesus’ mighty name.
  3. MOMMY ESTHER OKOJI: FATHER, TURN EVERY EXPERIENCE OF SHAME AND DISGRACE INTO HONOUR Scripture: Isaiah 61:7 “For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.” Father, let Your mercy speak over every area of my life where I have experienced shame, disgrace, embarrassment, or public humiliation. Restore my dignity and renew my confidence. Let my life become an evidence of Your goodness. Give me grace to overcome painful memories without bitterness. Where I have been treated as insignificant, establish me in the purpose You have ordained for me. Let honour, joy, and fresh testimonies replace shame, in Jesus’ mighty name.
  4. MOMMY ESTHER OKOJI: O LORD, ESTABLISH ME UPON THE FOUNDATION OF CHRIST AND LET MY LIFE FULFIL YOUR PURPOSE Scripture: Ephesians 2:20 “And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;” Father, establish my life firmly upon Jesus Christ, the Chief Cornerstone. Let my decisions, relationships, ambitions, and pursuits be aligned with Your Word. Deliver me from building my life upon human approval, temporary recognition, or unstable foundations. Give me the wisdom to build with integrity, righteousness, discipline, and faith. May everything I become and accomplish bring glory to Your name, in Jesus’ mighty name.
  5. SISTER CHINAZA: FATHER, LET EVERY CLOSED DOOR THAT IS NOT YOUR WILL GIVE WAY TO THE RIGHT OPPORTUNITIES YOU HAVE PREPARED Scripture: 1 Corinthians 16:9 “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” Father, open the right doors for my advancement and destiny. Let opportunities for career development, business expansion, ministry growth, financial progress, and meaningful relationships come according to Your purpose. Give me favour before those who have the authority to make important decisions. Connect me with genuine helpers and people who will recognise and support the gifts You have placed within me. Give me wisdom not to force doors You have not opened, and courage to enter the opportunities You provide, in Jesus’ mighty name.
  6. SISTER CHINAZA: O LORD, GIVE ME GRACE TO RISE ABOVE BITTERNESS, REVENGE, AND THE PAIN OF REJECTION Scripture: Genesis 50:20 “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.” Father, heal every wound caused by betrayal, rejection, abandonment, and disappointment. Deliver me from bitterness, resentment, hatred, and the desire for revenge. Give me the heart of Christ, that I may respond to difficult experiences with wisdom and maturity. Help me to forgive those who have hurt me and to move forward without carrying the weight of past offences. Let my experiences prepare me to become a blessing to others, in Jesus’ mighty name.
  7. SISTER CHINAZA: FATHER, REMEMBER THE REJECTED, THE SICK, AND THOSE WHO HAVE LOST HOPE Scripture: Psalm 147:3 “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” Father, we bring before You everyone who is sick, discouraged, abandoned, emotionally wounded, or struggling with rejection. Let Your healing power reach them. Restore strength to their bodies and peace to their hearts. Remember those who feel forgotten and those who have lost hope because of prolonged challenges. Give them access to appropriate care, support, and encouragement. Let no painful experience make them believe that their lives have no value. May they encounter Your love, mercy, and restoring grace, in Jesus’ mighty name.
  8. SISTER CHINAZA: FATHER, ESTABLISH BISHOP MOSES ALUKA, HIS FAMILY, AND HIS MINISTRY AS INSTRUMENTS OF YOUR PURPOSE Scripture: 1 Peter 2:5 “Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.” Father, I commit Bishop Moses Aluka, his family, and his ministry into Your hands. Establish him firmly in Christ, the Chief Cornerstone. Let no opposition, rejection, misunderstanding, or pressure dislocate him from his divine assignment. Give him wisdom to lead, grace to serve, and strength to remain faithful. Let his family enjoy peace, protection, favour, and provision. Establish the ministry upon sound doctrine, spiritual integrity, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Raise genuine helpers and Kingdom-minded partners to support the vision. May his life and ministry become instruments through which many lives are transformed, in Jesus’ mighty name.

Conclusion

CONCLUSION The stone rejected by the builders became the Chief Cornerstone. This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes. Jesus Christ is the ultimate revelation of this truth. His rejection did not defeat God’s redemptive plan; through His death and resurrection, He became the foundation of our salvation. Therefore, do not allow rejection to make you abandon your purpose. Do not allow disappointment to turn your heart bitter. Do not allow the failure of people to make you doubt the faithfulness of God. Remain rooted in Christ. Continue to grow in character, develop your gifts, serve faithfully, and trust God with your future. The most important thing is not simply to be accepted by the builders of this world, but to be found faithful in the hands of the Master Builder. The stone which the builders rejected has become the Chief Cornerstone. In Christ, our lives are established, our hope is secure, and our future is in God’s hands.
