I AND MY CHILDREN ARE FREE FROM THE LEGION OF GADARA IN JESUS' MIGHTY NAME
THE MORNING CRY GLOBAL FAMILY. INTERCESSION HOUR. DAY 466. SATURDAY 31ST OCTOBER, 2K26. 7PM WAT. 90 MINUTES. ANCHORS: BROTHER KENNETH OSEDE PASTOR SOLOMON OGADINMA PASTOR BLESSING ALUKA 🌅 THE MORNING CRY GLOBAL FAMILY PRAYER MANUAL TOPIC: I AND MY CHILDREN ARE FREE FROM THE LEGION OF GADARA IN JESUS' MIGHTY NAME Prayer focus: A Prayer for Deliverance, Preservation, Soundness of Mind, and Freedom from Every Form of Spiritual Oppression INTRODUCTION One of the most remarkable deliverance encounters recorded in the Bible is the encounter between Jesus Christ and the man from Gadara in Mark 5:1–20. This man was under the influence of a multitude of unclean spirits described as Legion. His condition was terrible. He lived among the tombs, could not be restrained by chains, experienced severe torment, and had become a source of fear to those around him. His condition affected every area of his existence: his mind, behaviour, relationships, dignity, peace, and ability to live a normal life. But one day, Jesus crossed over to his territory. What human strength could not accomplish, the authority of Jesus Christ accomplished in an encounter. The man who had been living among the tombs was found sitting, clothed, and in his right mind. This account reveals something powerful: no force of darkness is greater than the authority of Jesus Christ. The man was not merely delivered from demonic oppression; his dignity was restored, his mind was recovered, and his purpose was redirected. Jesus instructed him to return home and testify about the great things God had done for him. This prayer is a declaration that we and our children will not become victims of destructive spiritual influences, oppression, bondage, confusion, or anything that seeks to steal our peace and purpose. We are praying for our homes to become places of peace, our children to grow in the knowledge of God, and our families to enjoy the freedom Christ has provided. We refuse to surrender our children to fear, destructive influences, addiction, violence, confusion, or any force that seeks to destroy their future. Our confidence is not in the strength of our prayers alone, but in the finished work and supreme authority of Jesus Christ. As we pray, let us remember that not every behavioural, emotional, or mental health challenge is evidence of demonic activity. We must respond to those experiencing such challenges with compassion, appropriate medical or professional support where needed, and faith in God's power to restore. The Jesus who delivered the man of Gadara is still mighty to save, heal, restore, and preserve.

Prayer points
- BROTHER KENNETH OSEDE O LORD, DELIVER ME AND MY CHILDREN FROM EVERY POWER OF DARKNESS Scripture: Colossians 1:13 “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, I commit myself and my children into Your hands. Deliver us from every form of spiritual oppression, bondage, and destructive influence. Let every power that seeks to manipulate, torment, enslave, or destroy our lives lose its hold. Establish us firmly in the kingdom of Your dear Son. Let the authority of Jesus Christ prevail over every contrary power, and let our household enjoy the liberty of the children of God, in Jesus' mighty name.
- FATHER, LET EVERY PATTERN OF DESTRUCTION AND AFFLICTION BE BROKEN IN OUR FAMILY Scripture: John 8:36 “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” Father, let the freedom purchased for us through Jesus Christ become evident in every area of our family. Break every destructive pattern, addiction, bondage, and recurring behaviour that threatens our peace and progress. Let no inherited negative pattern determine the future of my children. Give us grace to reject ungodly practices and embrace righteousness. May our family enjoy genuine freedom through Christ, in Jesus' mighty name.
- O LORD, PRESERVE THE MINDS, HEARTS, AND DESTINIES OF MY CHILDREN Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Father, I place the minds and hearts of my children under Your care. Preserve them from confusion, destructive thoughts, fear, manipulation, and harmful influences. Give them sound minds, emotional stability, wisdom, and self-control. Let them grow in confidence, discipline, and the fear of the Lord. May their minds never become instruments of destruction, but channels through which Your purpose is fulfilled. Let Your peace govern their hearts, in Jesus' mighty name.
- FATHER, LET EVERY EVIL INFLUENCE SEEKING TO DESTROY OUR CHILDREN LOSE ITS POWER Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:33 “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” Father, protect my children from destructive friendships, ungodly associations, harmful ideologies, dangerous habits, and every influence that can corrupt their character. Give them discernment to recognise what is harmful and courage to walk away from it. Connect them with people who will encourage righteousness, wisdom, excellence, and godly character. May no negative influence divert them from Your purpose, in Jesus' mighty name.
- PASTOR SOLOMON OGADINMA O LORD, RESTORE EVERY AREA OF OUR LIVES THAT HAS BEEN UNDER SPIRITUAL OPPRESSION Scripture: Mark 5:15 “And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.” Lord Jesus, just as You restored the man of Gadara, let Your restoring power be evident in our lives. Restore peace where there has been turmoil, dignity where there has been shame, clarity where there has been confusion, and hope where there has been despair. Let every area of our lives that has suffered under destructive influences receive Your healing touch. Restore our joy, relationships, confidence, and ability to fulfil our purpose, in Jesus' mighty name.
- FATHER, ESTABLISH YOUR PEACE AND DIVINE COVERING OVER MY HOUSEHOLD Scripture: Isaiah 54:13 “And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.” Father, establish Your peace in our homes. Let our children grow under Your instruction and divine guidance. Let our homes be free from violence, hatred, confusion, destructive conflict, and every form of evil influence. Cover our children wherever they go—at home, in school, among friends, and in every environment. Let Your presence be their protection and Your Word be their guide. May great peace continually rest upon our children, in Jesus' mighty name.
- FATHER, LET YOUR HEALING POWER REST UPON THE SICK AND THE AFFLICTED Scripture: Jeremiah 17:14 “Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.” Father, we bring before You everyone suffering from physical sickness, emotional distress, mental health challenges, prolonged affliction, and every form of weakness. Let Your healing mercy reach them. Restore strength to their bodies, peace to their minds, and hope to their hearts. Give them access to the right care, treatment, and support. Let no one be abandoned in their suffering. May testimonies of healing, recovery, and restoration arise, in Jesus' mighty name.
- FATHER, PRESERVE BISHOP MOSES ALUKA, HIS CHILDREN, HIS FAMILY, AND HIS MINISTRY Scripture: Psalm 121:7–8 “The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.” Father, we commit Bishop Moses Aluka, his children, his wife, his entire family, and his ministry into Your hands. Let Your preservation rest upon them. Protect his household from every destructive influence, spiritual opposition, and danger. Grant his children wisdom, sound minds, godly character, academic excellence, and a deep relationship with You. Strengthen him in his calling and preserve the work You have committed into his hands. Let his family be a testimony of Your goodness, peace, and faithfulness. May his ministry continue to advance the Kingdom of God, in Jesus' mighty name.

Conclusion
The man of Gadara had become a picture of torment, isolation, and destruction. But when Jesus encountered him, everything changed. He was no longer living among the tombs. He was no longer tormented. He was no longer helpless. He was found sitting, clothed, and in his right mind. That is the power of an encounter with Jesus Christ. We refuse to surrender our homes, our children, and our destinies to destructive influences. We declare that our families belong to the Lord. Our children shall grow in wisdom, peace, righteousness, and purpose. The power of darkness is not greater than the power of Christ. Our confidence is in Jesus, who has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into His Kingdom. I and my children are free from the Legion of Gadara in Jesus' mighty name! PROPHETIC CONFESSION I belong to Jesus Christ, and my children belong to Him. My household is under the authority, protection, and covering of the Lord. We are delivered from the power of darkness and established in the Kingdom of God's dear Son. Our minds are sound, our hearts are filled with peace, and our lives are established in God's purpose. No destructive influence shall determine our future. My children shall grow in wisdom, grace, knowledge, and the fear of the Lord. We are free indeed, preserved by God's power, and established in His purpose, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen! Key biblical picture: The man of Gadara's transformation was not simply an escape from torment; it was a restoration of dignity, soundness of mind, peace, and purpose. That is the testimony we are praying for in our families. Bishop Dr. Moses Aluka
